Annual Queens Birthday Dinner 2018
Following on from the merger of The Danish Club and The Danish-UK Chamber of Commerce, it is with great pleasure that we are continuing the tradition of celebrating The Queen’s Birthday by hosting a dinner, in honour of our Patron Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. We would like to invite you to join us for an enjoyable evening of celebration amongst fellow members and friends.
The dinner will be held at the 1776 dining room, a classic and elegant hidden-gem of a restaurant at the back of 1 Lombard Street Bar and Brasserie. We are delighted that our guest speaker for the evening will be Athena Lamnisos, CEO, The Eve Appeal, our preferred charity.
As there are limited seats available we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The Eve Appeal is the only UK national charity raising awareness and funding research into the five gynaecological cancers – ovarian, womb, cervical, vaginal and vulval.
The Eve appeal was set up to save women’s lives by funding ground-breaking research focused on developing effective methods of risk prediction, earlier detection and developing screening for these women-only cancers. The charity has grown and developed in parallel with our core research team, the Department of Women’s Cancer at University College London (UCL), taking place in 31 institutions across 15 countries.
They have played a crucial role in providing seed funding, core infrastructure funding and project funding in addition to campaigning to raise awareness of women-specific cancers and we are proud to support them.
The world-leading research that they fund is ambitious and challenging and their vision is simple: A future where fewer women develop and more women survive gynaecological cancers.
