Two markets, one early evening with one topic in focus - workplaces and how they work. Leesman and GoToWork, hosted by Scandinavian Business Seating, are inviting you to a one of a kind meeting where Scandinavia and UK are scrutinised in regards to working workplaces. The unique data collection held by Leesman will reveal differences and similarities between the markets, and GoToWork brings a suitcase with casestudies from Sweden to share with you. The talks will finish off with an open discussion where we will learn new insights and knowledge from each other. The event launches with ‘Scandi Night’ at BoConcept on Tottenham Court Road where Designer Morten Georgsen will be talking about Danish design.  He will be joined by Helen Russell, ex-editor of Marie Claire, who has written a novel anout her experience of living in Denmark for a year.

EcoBuild, Nordic pavilion

In cooperation with Business Sweden the Danish Embassy is arranging a Nordic pavilion at this year's Ecobuild on 8 - 10 March 2016 in ExCel London. Ecobuild is the world's largest exhibition for sustainable design and construction, and a possibility to promote the Nordic countries strengths within construction on the UK market


The year’s attendance will once again also feature a separate pavilion which will solely focus on Danish district heating. This will be due to the increasing British interest and demand for district heating, and to promote the environmental and economic benefits of the heat distribution system. The British experts and decision makers have especially shown interest in the Danish model of providing heat and control of energy in a local context. This interest has opened up the opportunity for Danish district heating companies to provide their solutions to a British market, which currently is in demand for heating solutions with an environmental and economic scope.

The Trade Council in London and Væksthus Midtjylland are organising a greater Danish participation at Scoop London by identifying designers to exhibit at the show.
Scoop London will take place from 21-23 February 2016 at the Saatchi Gallery at the Duke of York's Square on the fashionably King’s Road.

Scoop London is a new edition of Scoop, filled with fresh talent, directional design and a hand-picked selection of the finest international collections.

Scoop London
Taking place during London Fashion Week, Scoop London provides the perfect platform for new and emerging designers for whom LFW remains the most important dateline of the season. Scoop London plays host to an array of international labels that traditionally launch their new-season lines after the main UK tradeshows have drawn to a close.
Previous visitors to Scoop London include premium UK retailers Net-a-Porter, Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols. International buying teams include Biffi, Banner, La Rinascente and Luisa Via Roma all from Italy, in addition to Le Bon Marche and Galeries Lafayette from Paris and United Arrows from Japan.
Collections showing this season include US designer Erin Fetherston, Nach Bijoux and Maison Baluchon from Paris and exciting shoe collections from Lucy Choi and Ming Ray as well as Danish designers Gestuz, Kristensen du Nord and Ilse Jacobsen.

By signing up to Scoop London through the Trade Council in London and Væksthus Midtjylland, designers will achieve a considerably discount if at least 5 designers sign up. The Trade Council and Væksthus Midtjylland will also facilitate all the planning and preparation of the show and be present during it. Scoop London however will have to  
screen each designer before participation is granted.
Moreover a discussion with 2-3 UK agents will be arranged at the show before it starts to give a thorough presentation of the British fashion industry and guidance in what it takes to make it in the UK.
