Ulrik J. Walther is Director of Official Institutions at BNP Paribas Investment Partners with focus on Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia.

BNP Paribas Investment Partners is the asset management arm of the French banking group BNP Paribas and invests over $600 billion of assets on behalf of clients around the world. As Director of Official Institutions, Ulrik is responsible for the business relationships with Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds and government institutions. He also works as an external lecturer at the Institute of the International Monetary Fund.  
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Ulrik served 5 years with Fidelity Investments and 15 years J.P. Morgan and associated companies undertaking numerous assignments within investment banking, structured finance, asset management.

Ulrik has worked in voluntary organisations for many years and has served as Secretary-General of The Nordic Young Conservative Union, Executive Committee Member of the Democratic Youth Community of Europe and member of the Council for International Development under the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 4 years.

He has been active within the Danish community in the United Kingdom since 1998 as Honorary Treasurer of the Danish Club from 1998 to 2002 and Council member of the DUCC since 2002.
